Encyclopedia : S : SU : SUL : Sullivan County Community College

Sullivan County Community College is a two-year public college sponsored by SUNY and Sullivan County, New York. The campus is in Loch Sheldrake in the Town of Fallsburg.

The college offers programs in all of the traditional academic areas and awards an Associate's degree on successful completion of studies.

The operation hours of the library are 9:00am to 9:00pm and the main computer rooms are generally open to 10:00pm.

The former head of the math, science, nursing, and athletics department was M. Colliar.

The school also has a large scenic campus and modern art displays in the hallways.

Many students who attend Sullivan go on to SUNY New Paltz. This is mostly due to the close vicinity of Sullivan Community College to New Paltz and the transfer agreement between the two colleges.

Sullivan County Community College students are generally from the New York City area, followed by students from West Sullivan county, and a handful of students from the Monticello and Fallsburg area.
