Sunny Bay (欣澳; Jyutping: jan1 ou3, pinyin: Xīn'ào) is an MTR station in Yam O (陰澳). It is between Tung Chung and Tsing Yi stations. The station is an interchange station between the Tung Chung Line and the train to Hong Kong Disneyland. The station was originally to be named Yam O (陰澳). Yam O was not used probably because of its ominous connotations (Cantonese Yam is more commonly known to English speakers as Mandarin yin, which can mean darkness or a negative quality).

The station is the first MTR station to have automatic platform gates (APG) installed on the edge of the platforms. These gates range from 1/2 to 3/4 the height of the platform screen doors in other MTR stations. Unlike most of the MTR stations, Sunny Bay and Disneyland Resort Station do not have air conditioners, and rely on their open architecture to keep the temperature low.

Services to the station commenced on 1 June 2005. The transfer facilities to the Disneyland Resort Line opened 1 August 2005. The livery of the station is slate grey. Platforms 2 (Tung Chung Line towards Tung Chung) and 3 (Disneyland Resort Line) are located opposite to each other to allow easy interchange of trains for passengers travelling from the urban areas.

The Airport Express line passes through the center of the station without stopping.

Platform 1: Tung Chung Line to Tung Chung

Passengers travelling from the city centre can conveniently alight the train, and go over to the opposite platform for the train leading into the Disneyland Resort.

Platform 2: Tung Chung Line to Hong Kong

Passengers returning from Disneyland Resort must take an escalator or lift to reach the pedestrian footbridge a storey up, walk across and above 4 train tracks, and finally get down to platform 2 with the Tung Chung Line trains heading towards downtown Hong Kong. At the same time, the exit gates are located on the same level and on the same side of the railroad tracks as Platform 2.

A: Transport interchange

Situated in reclaimed land near Yam O, the area is uninhabited and the sole exit leads to an emergency car park and transport interchange. As of 2006, the interchange is solely used by residents of Discovery Bay as a bus route runs from the interchange to Discovery Bay.
