Sutton Coldfield Town F.C.
Encyclopedia : S : SU : SUT : Sutton Coldfield Town F.C.
Sutton Coldfield Town F.C. are a football club based in Sutton Coldfield, England. They were formed in 1879 and currently play in the Southern League Division One Midlands. They have reached the FA Cup First Round twice in their history; most recently in 1980 for a home tie against Doncaster Rovers F.C. which they lost 0-2.
Despite being the largest team in a town with a population of over 105,000 people - more than that of the home towns of many full-time professional teams - their profile suffers due to their geographical proximity to Aston Villa F.C. which draws much of its support from the town.
