Sweat was an album released by the band Kool and the Gang in 1989 following a three year gap between albums. J.T. Taylor had now departed, and the band was without a lead singer for the first time since 1978. In addition, the band could not revive their funk sound, and it was out of style anyway at the time. This all contributed to the makings of what many fans consider the band's worst album.
