Syraq

Syraq is a fictional Middle Eastern country used in the DC Comics Universe. It was mostly prominent in issues during the 1980's. A particular story where it appears is , when Joker becomes ambassador to the country's version of Iran's Ayatollah. Now probably defunct, it appeared to have been an amalgamation of several Middle Eastern countries including Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Iraq. It is not surprisingly mistaken on many occasions as being one of these.
