T7 phage

Bacteriophage T7 is a phage capable of infecting susceptible bacterial cells.

The capsid of the phage is spherical with an inner diameter of 55 nm. A small amount of space (~3%) is taken up by a cylindrical structure 19 nm in diameter and 28.5 nm long within the capsid, but it mainly contains the roughly 40 kbp large genome of T7.
