Original TEMA
The original ТЕМА (meaning 'theme' in English) was created by Maugly Jr. (a former rapper turned music producer), in May of 2004. The two members were Sasha Anokhina (Александра Анохина) and Nastya Kotova (Анастася Котова). Under The First Musical Publishing House of Russia, the group recorded songs in Russian, and some in English as well. Their debut album, released on July 27th, 2005 was titled "Просто Я Фанатка" (Prosto Ya Fanatka), meaning "I Am Simply A Fan" in English. One official music video was released for the album, for the song titled "Это Тема!" (Eto Tema, or It Is A Theme). In the video, Ivan Shapovalov acts with Sasha, and the two appear to be having sex. [Watch 'Это Тема!' on YouTube]. Another video was released sometime that year, for a song that was not on the album titled "Raditatsia" [Watch on YouTube].During the year of 2005, tension grew between the ТЕМА girls, the producer and the company. On an unknown date, Sasha and Nastya decided to leave the studio, and went along with their PR manager, Natalia Kulesh. They attempted to negotiate contracts behind Maugly Jr.'s back, which forced him to take action. He denied them allowance to the name "ТЕМА," and restricted them from singing any of the songs that were produced under his name.
After being denied the name rights, the girls changed the group's name to "DNK." The meaning behind the name is unknown, but fans beleive it can either be a translated name for "DNA", or an acronym for "Devochki Natalia Kulesh" which means "Natalia Kulesh's Girls" in English. For unknown reasons, the girls again changed the name to "ТЕ МА" and "TE MЫ". It is not clear which name they are currently using, because they have not been active in the musical community for some time now.

TEMA Late 2005
After the complications with the former TEMA girls, the producer Maugly Jr. promised fans that TEMA would live on, but with new girls. With the production company, he did search for new members. They decided on two new girls, Alia (A war correspondant for the RIA Novosti news agency in Russia) & Mari (A Japanese girl, who sings Japanese in the songs). There were issues with the release of the song and the band, being that Alia needed to work, and Mari's father was reluctant to allow anything go on with her daughter and Maugly Jr. In October 2005, their first song "Pozvonyu" (I'll Call) was recorded. The song was about a friendship that was ripped at the seams, because of betrayal. This song is actually about the relationship Maugly Jr. shared, with his old girls, in the TEMA group. Fans predicted that by January 2006, the band would be released. However, Alia left Russia on a business trip for her work, and Mari's father didn't allow her to be in the group (due to a scrap between Maugly Jr. an a gang). Mari returned to Japan.Non-Album Tracks

New TEMA
After the four girls had left the group TEMA, Maugly Jr. decided to quit working with real women for his group TEMA. What is known about TEMA currently, is that it consists of one member: Amy. Amy is a computer generated woman, voice, body all. Several demo tracks were written, by Frederick Newton (A song writer from Los Angeles, California). Plans were made for Amy to sing the English tracks because most of TEMA's fans are based out of Russia. Lyrics written for Amy can be found at [nativeLIFE].No tracks have been released yet.
