TM1 is an in memory OLAP server from Applix. TM1 is a MOLAP (a multidimensional OLAP) because it uses linked hypercubes of data to analyse and to summarise large arrays of data in real time.

Many of the applications of TM1 are in the fields of business intelligence and business performance management. Typically, TM1 applications help financial professionals consolidate financial data and analyze this data. Many planning and budgeting applications are based on TM1.

The most popular TM1 client is TM1 Perspectives, which is a VBA application that runs as an add-in to Microsoft Excel.
