Tabula Rasa is an MMORPG from NC Soft, including some of the creators of Ultima Online such as Richard Garriott (aka Lord British). Tabula Rasa has been described to play like a FPS, but with more of a Grand Theft Auto view. The game still allows you to level up and advance your character to become more powerful.
Tabula Rasa is about humanity's last stand against a vile alien race called "The Bane". The story takes place far in the future and includes futurstic technology. The gameplay revolves around 2-3 planets (At release), which will be in a state of constant conflict between the AFSF (Allied Free Sentient Forces) and The Bane. The player's job is to fight The Bane (or any other hostile creatures) and once again bring peace to the galaxy.
It is said that the game will include the ability for players to influence the outcome of a war between the player characters and the NPCs. The game's focus has been shifted from its original announcement, a more fantasy oriented MMORPG, so some early claims about the game are no longer true.
