Tachibana Muneshige

(1567-1642) a retainer of the japanese clan of Otomo and warlord of Chikugo. Muneshige was the son of Takahashi Shigetane and was adopted by Tachibana Dosetsu. Following the year of 1586 Muneshige defended the Tachibana Castle against the Shimazu. Muneshige ended up sideing with Toyotomi Hideyoshi the following year in order to defeat them. and Toyotomi Hideyoshi to praise "the devotion and brave is number one of West" to Muneshige.Muneshige afterwards received Yanagawa Castle in Chikugo province (in which was worth some 132,000 koku) and led over 2,500 men in Kobayakawa Takakage's command in the 1st Korean Campaign.this period in Battle of Byokchekwan Muneshige is peerless or matchless in bravery or valor.Muneshige was then involved in the Siege of Ulsan following the 2nd Korean Campaign, in which he was distinguished for his bravery and Kato Kiyomasa to praise "the brave and firerce is number one of Japan" to Muneshige . Following the Sekigahara Campaign during the year of 1600, Muneshige decided to assist Ishida Mitsunari against Tokugawa Ieyasu. During that campaign Muneshige assisted in the Siege of Otsu Castle. Due to the duration of the siege however, Muneshige could no longer fight in the campaign. Due to being on the side that lost Muneshige was deprived of his holdings. Following the year of 1611 he was given a 20,000-koku fief at Tanakura (Mutsu province). then the year of 1620 he was given a 110,000-koku fief turn back Yanagawa Castie and was present at the quelling of the Shimabara Rebellion.this war he like a God of battle.
