Taina was a live-action Nickelodeon sitcom which starred Christina Vidal, Khalilah Adams, David Oliver Cohen, Chris Knowings and LaTangela. Taina was a Puerto Rican aspiring singer and dancer who wanted to become a star. She along with her best friend Renee Jones attend Manhattan School Of The Arts along with Lamar and Daniel. Taina and Renee's archnemesis Maritza attended the same school they did and was also an aspiring singer. The show premiered on January 14, 2001 and lasted for two seasons until the show was cancelled in May 2002. Nickelodeon cancelled the show because they thought it only appealed to girls and didn't bring in enough male viewership.
