Tama Toshi Monorail Line

The , also referred to as the Tama Monorail, is part of the public transport network of the western part of Tokyo.
Operated by Tama Toshi Monorail, the double tracked, 16 kilometer monorail line carries passengers between Higashi Yamato and Tama in 36 minutes. It opened in 1998 and was extended in 2000.
Tachikawa-Kita (=North) and Tachikawa-Minami (=South) are the most important stations, enabling transfer to the JR Chuo Main Line and Tama Center (or Tama Plaza) transfer to Odakyu Railways.
