Tamana (玉名郡; -gun) is a district located in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan.

As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 73,963 and the density of 271.15 persons per km². The total area is 272.78 km².

• On October 3, 2005, the towns of Taimei, Tensui and Yokoshima merged into the city of Tamana.
