Tatie Danielle is a 1990 French black humor film by Étienne Chatiliez. It features Tsilla Chelton as Tatie (Auntie) Danielle Billard, Eric Prat as Jean-Pierre and Catherine Jacob as Catherine.

Plot

Danielle Billard, 82, childless widow of an army colonel, lives a quiet life in her house of Auxerre with her faithful womanservant, Odile, a poor woman nearly as aged as her boss... Quiet ? Not really. Mrs Billard is cruel, aggressive and mean towards everybody, especially Odile... When Odile "accidentally" dies, Mrs. Billard founds a new shelter in Paris at her grand-nephew Jean-Pierre and family's home. Jean-Pierre and his wife Catherine thought Auntie Danielle was a delicious old lady... They will soon start to know about the real face of their aunt !

Trivia

The original plot started like that : a family goes to vacation, and hires a "nanny" to look after the old grand-mother. Alas, as the nanny arrives, crossing the street right in front of the building, she is mortally hit by a car... Then, the grand-mother, leaved alone for a few weeks, accuse her family to have abandoned her !
