Team Silent

Team Silent is the development team responsible for the Silent Hill franchise, except for the upcoming for the Sony PlayStation Portable. Akira Yamaoka, the series' composer, is also a part of Team Silent. It is speculated that the team is currently developing Silent Hill 5 for a, as of June 2006, unspecified next-generation console, assumed by many sources to be the Sony PlayStation 3. However, the project itself is yet to be announced by their publisher officially, although several sources have announced its development. On May 9, 2006, Konami announced that the prequel to the franchise, Origins, would be the first title in the series not be developed directly by Team Silent and instead have placed the responsibilities in Climax Studios. This move has lead many to believe that the team is still developing an unannounced Silent Hill 5.
Team Silent also played a major production role for the Silent Hill movie by closely watching and approving specific aspects of the movie throughout its production.
