Ted Price is the CEO and president of Insomniac Games.

Price also serves as the Chairman of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences.

Ted Price is the President and CEO of Insomniac Games, Inc - an independent game developer based in Burbank, California. He founded the company in 1994. As off 2006 the company has grown to over 155 people.

Insomniac’s first game, Disruptor – released for the PlayStation in 1996 was a critical success, winning several industry awards for Best First Person Shooter. But it wasn’t until the release of Insomniac’s second game, Spyro the Dragon (1998), that Insomniac garnered worldwide attention. Insomniac continued the Spyro series with two more installments on the PlayStation.

Insomniac then created Ratchet and Clank for the PlayStation 2 in 2002. The series has grown to include three sequels released in 2003, 2004 and 2005. The titles have garnered over 15 genre awards, 8 Game of the Year awards and numerous technical achievement awards.

To date Insomniac has sold over 20 million copies of its eight games.

As of summer 2006, Insomniac is putting the finishing touches on Resistance: Fall of Man, a highly anticipated launch title for the PlayStation 3. Insomniac is also working on a new Ratchet & Clank game for the PlayStation 3.

Also as of summer 2006, Insomniac Games has been ranked in the top 5 for the second straight year on the “50 Best Small & Medium Sized Companies to Work for in America” list. This list is compiled by the Great Places to Work Institute, best known for producing Fortune magazine’s annual “100 Best Companies to Work for®“ list, which ranks companies with more than 1,000 employees.

Price's responsibilities at Insomniac include directing the company's day-to-day business and setting its long term strategies as well as overseeing its projects and contributing to their design. Price is also the Chairman of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences and furthermore has been very active in the industry’s efforts to combat anti-videogame legislation. He holds a degree in English from Princeton University.
