Telstra Pre-Paid Plus, formerly Communic8, is a Pre-Paid mobile phone service from Telstra. Telstra offers Pre-Paid Plus for GSM and CDMA.

Call Rates

Flagfall: 25c
Standard Phone Call: Flagfall + (38.5c / 30 seconds)
SMS: 25c
MMS: 50c
MMS with Video: 75c
GPRS or CDMA 1X: 55c / 25kb (Rounded up to full 25kb block. Equates to 2.2c/kb)
Voice Mail Diverts: 6c / 30 seconds
Voice Mail Retrievals: Flagfall + (25c / 30 seconds)

Special Promotions

1c per minute

Phone Call: Flagfall + (0.5c / 30 seconds) for the first 10 minutes + (38.5c / 30 seconds) thereafter. Must make an initial SMS or Phone call before this promotion is activated.
Promotion applies between the hours of 9PM and 7AM Monday to Friday, and all weekend.

5c per minute

Phone call received: (5c / 60 seconds) bonus credit to your account for every full minute of a received phone call.
Must have a positive balance in your account
Bonus credit is applied once a month, and you must have a positive balance at that time
Bonus credit expires at the same time as the credit from your previous Recharge.
To a maximum of $50 in a single month period

SMS: 1c to other Telstra Pre-Paid Plus customers
You need to maintain a minimum of 25c credit on your account to be able to send a 1c text

MyPrepaid

MyPrepaid are Value-Added services displayed in a menu format on Pre-Paid Plus phones

Services include:
MyBalance - Check your Prepaid account balance
CreditMe - Enter in a voucher code to redeem credit purchased from a store (ie: Credit bought from the Supermarket)
MyHistory - Call Register as recorded by Telstra
Credit Me2U - Transfer $1-$10 credit between Telstra Pre-Paid Plus phones, 25c fee for transfers.
Rates - View the call rates
Autopay - Set up a credit card to automatically debit an amount into Phone credit on a schedule
New Offer/Call Credits - Upgrade your account to Pre-Paid Plus or to activate a promotion (if not already done)

GSM

Call #100#.
There are 4 menu options:
1. MyPrepaid (Free)
2. Tones/Pics (2.95 / 60 seconds)
3. Bigpond Email (Free, but requires a Bigpond Email account to be set up from Bigpond website)
4. News/Wthr (50c)

Choose number '1. MyPrepaid' option
Calling #125# will get you directly to the '1. MyPrepaid' option

CDMA

SMS 'menu' to 125-8888 to get to the '1. MyPrepaid' option

CDMA Recharges can be done by credit card, by calling 125-8885. Or by calling 125-8888 and using a recharge card of either $15, $30, $60 or $100. CreditMe works for CDMA mobiles.

Voice Mail

Voice Mail on the Telstra network is called "Message Bank". To deactivate this service, call customer service - 125-8880 (25c).

Credit

As a Prepaid service, you must inject funds into your account, known as "Recharging" to use the service.

Call 125-8885 or use CreditMe in MyPrepaid (GSM only).

Recharge using BPAY

Biller Code: 150979
Customer Reference Number: Your 10-digit mobile number or your account number
Value must be between $15-$100
You should record your recipt number, and it might take a few days to be processed

Recharge using Vouchers

Available in retail shops (Telstra Shops, Newsagents or Supermarkets) to purchase Vouchers which can be redeemed in MyPrepaid > CreditMe. (Printed at the time of purchase)

Voucher amounts available until 15 May 2006:
$5 - expires in 14 days
$15 - expires in 1 month
$30 - expires in 6 months
$60 - expires in 6 months
$100 - expires in 12 months

Voucher amounts available after 16 May 2006:
$5 - expires in 14 days
$20 - expires in 1 month
$30 - expires in 2 months
$50 - expires in 3 months
$100 - expires in 12 months

Recharge using 'Recharge Cards' (including 'communic8' or 'e-vouchers')

Available in retail shops (Preprinted and distributed as a physical product).
$15 - expires in 1 month (e-voucher only)
$25 - No longer available
$30 - expires in 6 months
$60 - expires in 6 months
$100 - expires in 12 months

Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile

Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile is the PrePaid service that was discontinued in favour of Telstra PrePaid Plus, Telstra PrePaid plus was formerly known as Communic8 at the time that it was co-existing with Telstra Pre-Paid mobile

Existing Pre-Paid Mobile customers can upgrade to Pre-Paid Plus by calling 125-8880
