Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) is the largest electricity utility company in Malaysia with RM60.0 billion worth of assets serving over six million customers throughout Malaysia and the eastern state of Sabah. TNB's core activities are in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity.

To date, TNB remains a major player in electricity generation which form a significant part of the Group's diversified range of business activities. The TNB Group has the largest generation capacity of 10,481 MW.

Currently, the TNB Group has a complete power supply system, including the National Grid which is energised at 132, 275 and 500kV. The National Grid is linked via 132kV HVAC and 300kV HVDC interconnection to Thailand and 230kV cables to Singapore. For the convenience of customers, Customer Service Centres, Call Management Centres and administrative offices throughout the Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah. A 5-digit common toll-free number (1-5454) facilitates fault reporting and service requests to the CMCs.

TNB, through its subsidiaries, is also involved in the manufacturing of transformer, high voltage switchgears and cables the provider of professional consultancy services, architectural, civil and electrical engineering works and services, repair and maintenance services and fuel undertakes research and development, property development, and project management services. TNB also offers higher education through its university — University Tenaga Nasional (uniten).
