Tender may mean:
In finance:
- A process by which a government or company seeks quotes for a particular project (such as a construction job) to be carried out by a contracting company. The sealed offers themselves, including company information, a project outline, and a price quote, are known as tenders. See Also: Tenders, reverse auction, Contract A and RFQ.
- Legal tender, a term used of currency
- tender offer - used to propose a buyout of a public company
- one of several types of boat or ship, all sharing the general function of servicing another type of air or sea vessel:
- *destroyer tender – supplies and services destroyers
- *luxury yacht tender - supplies and services a private or charter luxury yacht
- *seaplane tender - supplies and services seaplanes
- *submarine tender - resupplies submarines
- *motor torpedo boat tender - resupplies motor torpedo boats
- *ship's tender - used to transport people and supplies to and from a large ship
- *dive tender - another name for Diving support vessel
- *lighthouse tender - used to tend lighthouses and, later, buoys
- Tender locomotive, a type of railroad car hauled immediately after the locomotive proper that contains the fuel and water
- The Israeli name for a pickup truck
