Teran

Teran (Italian: Terrano) is a wine produced on the Kras plateau in Slovenia and Italy from the grapes of the vine refošk (Italian: refosco). This is a red wine, heavily influenced by the fact that it grows on terra rossa. It has a very high lactic acid content. It is often drunk together with the pršut (prosciutto) from Kras.
