Teres

Teres I (reigned 475-445 BC) was the first king of the Odrysian state of Thrace. Teres was well-known for his military abilities, and spent much of his life on the battlefield. In 445 BC he died during one of his many military campaigns. He was succeeded by his second son, Sitalkes.
