Terran

The term Terran is commonly used in science fiction to refer to the human race. The word derives from Latin terra (Earth). In particular, it can refer to:
- Terran (StarCraft) and Terran Confederacy (from the StarCraft universe)
- Terran Empire (from Star Trek)
- Terran Federation (from Robert A. Heinlein's science fiction novel Starship Troopers)
- Terran Federation (Starfire) (from the Starfire universe)
- Terran Confederation (from the Wing Commander science fiction series)
- Terran Alliance (from Battle Opera Gunmech)
- Terran Hegemony (from BattleTech)
- Blake's 7, a science fiction TV series that features a "Terran Federation"
- Universal Terran Church, an interfaith church that teaches that "All Paths Are Valid"
- Galactic Terran Vasudan Alliance, an expansive galaxy-spanning alliance between Terrans and Vasudans (From Freespace 2)
- In the Exosquad universe, Terrans are homo sapiens, as opposed to the genetically engeneered (and hostile) Neosapiens. They make out the majority of the Exofleet, as well as Pirate Clans and Homeworlds Resistance during the war
