Terry Cummings

Robert Terrell "Terry" Cummings (born March 15 1961 in Chicago, Illinois) is a former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association for 18 seasons.
Cummings, a 6'9" power forward, was drafted by the San Diego Clippers as the second pick in the 1982 NBA Draft and was named Rookie of the Year after averaging 23.7 points per game and 10.6 rebounds per game in his first season.
Cummings played for seven different teams during his NBA career: San Diego, Milwaukee Bucks, San Antonio Spurs, Seattle SuperSonics, Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks and the Golden State Warriors.
Cummings was a two-time All-Star, in 1985 and 1989. Cummings finished his NBA career with averages of 16.4 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game.
A graduate of Carver High School, in Chicago, Cummings attended DePaul University for three seasons, averaging 16.4 points per game over 85 games.
Cummings is an ordained Pentecostal Minister and performed service at the wedding of former teammate, Sean Elliott.
Terry's son TJ Cummings currently plays in the NBDL for the Albuquerque Thunderbirds
