Terry and June was a popular sitcom, broadcast by the BBC in the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1987. It starred Terry Scott and June Whitfield as a married middle class English couple living in Purley, London. Most of the episodes were written by John Kane.

The sitcom's format was to set up an argument between the two eponymous protagonists, often with a household task (for example, delivering a bulky item, changing a lightbulb or rewiring a plug). Terry would get angry at June's constant (if admittedly annoying) love for sensible economy, hiring qualified contractors and planning but he would always get his comeuppance; June usually won their clashes, but not before a great deal of comic chaos ensued.

The show was generally regarded by critics in the UK as the epitome of the bland middle-class sitcom, the kind of which had almost disappeared from the schedules by the new millennium. It was, however, a great favourite with viewers.
