The college consists of five departments: Biomedical Science, Large Animal Medicine & Surgery, Veterinary Anatomy and Public Health, Veterinary Pathobiology, and Veterinary Physiology and Pharmacology.

The Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences is one of only 31 colleges of veterinary medicine in the United States and Canada. It was founded in 1916.The college offers undergradute majors in Biomedical Sciences.
