Théphile Alajouanine (June 12 1890, Verneix-Allier – 1980) was a French neurologist.

Théophile Alajouanine was a pupil of Jules-Joseph Dejerine and worked with Georges Guillain and Charles Foix. He wrote prolifically on many topics but was especially interested in Aphasia.

Great scholar and enthusiastic bibliophile, Alajouanine privileged relationships with famous writers during his neurological career. Dostoievski's biography and works provided him with a penetrating look into the world of epilepsy.
