Overview
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man is one of the most technologically advanced rides in the world. Located in Islands of Adventure, in Orlando, it was built for the park's opening in 1999. The ride combines motion simulation with 3-D effects to give the rider the experience of traveling through a city.
The ride takes the rider into the comic world of Spider-Man, and after boarding the vehicle the rider learns that the evil Sinister Syndicate has captured the Statue of Liberty along with the help of other famous Spider-Man villains including Doctor Octopus, Scream, Electro, Hydro-Man, and the Hobgoblin. The ride then moves into the streets of New York to cover the story before suddenly being kidnapped by the villains. The situation looks hopeless until a superhero swings into save the day.
During the five minute ride you exprience the effects of a flamethrower, falling off a 100 story skyscraper into Spider-Man's web and other mayhem.
