The Andy Milonakis Show is a sketch comedy starring Andy Milonakis, which airs on MTV2, the first season having aired on MTV. Season 1 Is On DVD And Season 2 To Come Out This October.
Plot
The show consists of comedy sketches featuring Milonakis as well as a supporting cast made up of his actual neighbors and people from the Lower East Side Manhattan neighborhood where the show takes place, including his friend Ralphie, his neighbor Larry, and an old woman called Rivka.Celebrity Guests
Each show also features celebrity guests such as the Ying Yang Twins, Snoop Dogg, Fat Joe, John Stamos, Lil Jon, Rob Schneider, Black Eyed Peas, Biz Markie, Vanessa Minnillo, Juelz Santana, Paul Wall, Nick Cannon, Seth Green, The All-American Rejects, Mike Jones, Carson Daly, Jimmy Kimmel, and Shaun White. Some skits are very short, such as "One Pound," in which Andy slams his fist on a scale. Jimmy Kimmel appears in season two as "Andy's creator", not just by helping him start up his show, but with actually creating him, like Pinnochio. After crafting Andy from a small piece of lumber, Jimmy (Gepetto) places a bag of frozen peas on Andy's head and exclaims "You will be my son, Andy Milonnochio!" After the scene, Jimmy pours a bottle of termites down the back of Andy's shirt.Show Sequence
The show often begins with a cold open, a short sketch to "prepare" the viewer for the rest of the show. For instance, one of these beginning sketches first shows Ralphie behind a drawing of France. Then Andy comes over and says "What ya doing Ralphie" and Ralphie says "I'm Chillin' in Mexico Andy!" Then he says "Shalom".After the initial sketch and the opening theme--an absurd rap song sung by Andy--the show proceeds to the full-length sketches. Common themes include Andy pretending to know random people, interacting with his neighbors, preparing and eating strange food combinations, and playing with his dog Wubbie. He also orders delivery food and plays jokes on the delivery men, such as making fake coupons, putting shoes in pizzas and asking how they got there, and naming his pizza Larry and assaulting it.
Cast
Main Cast:- Ralphie: Andy's best friend. He shares Andy's penchant for rap and freestyle which started in Season 1.
- Larry: Andy's middle-aged neighbor, who often "borrows" Andy's can openers but doesn't return them. He can often be seen wearing a small dark yarmulke.
- Rivka: An old woman who wears two pairs of glasses.
- Billy: A cast member from season two who appears in some of the show's skits. He is known for his annoyingly loud voice.
Minor Cast:
- Wubbie: Andy's pet dog who sometimes dreams of killing Andy when Andy talks to Wubbie in baby talk and laughs when Andy drops Cookies
- Muti: Andy's cousin with a strange speech impediment wherein he can't pronounce the letter "S" correctly, instead, he just snorts through his nose.
- Fish Guy: A laughing old black man who is dressed like Andy and is always holding a fish and smoking a cigarette. In one episode, it shows that the Fish Dude can't actually hold anything other than a fish.
- Herbie: Andy's pet turtle who has been stolen many times and also can hover.
- Freda: A middle-aged woman who likes Andy's chicken wings even more than Andy.
The Lower East Side Disfunctional Monster Gang Squad Family Cartoon Show
This segment is a crudely drawn black and white cartoon featuring such characters as:- Handsome Pig (Andy): A vain, talking pig who is constantly talking about how good he looks.
- Mini Dracula (High-pitched Andy): A blood-obsessed small vampire with a Translvanian accent.
- Not-so-human Stick (Billy): A cruel, loud-mouthed stick figure with no arms or legs. He loves to insult the others.
- Eyemouth Susie (Rivka): A character with a row of eyes for a mouth. The is very sweet but intensly lonely.
- Mr. Frog (Ralphie): A frog in a tuxedo. He once proposed to Eyemouth Susie, but ran away when he found out she had no money.
- Acid Reflux Charlie (Larry): A kind-hearted man with acid reflux problems who likes to dance.
- Vicious Critter (Andy with a Mexican accent): A four-legged beast that loves to kill and dismember the others. He was taught to dance by Acid Reflux Charlie.
- Hairmouth (unknown): A small character with hair for a mouth. He speaks in muffled grunts.
Second Season
The show was picked up for a second season which, like the first, aired on MTV2. The second season premiered on March 31, 2006 at 9pm in the Sic'em Friday lineup. Known guest stars are Paul Wall, Mike Jones (who strangles Andy because Andy stole Mike's rhymes), Nick Cannon (who has a "rap battle" that makes each other cry), Juelz Santana, Seth Green, Jimmy Kimmel, and The All-American Rejects (who fly on hovering turtles, roam Andy's house, then throw Herbie out the window)and Shaun White. The first episode of this season is available for download for Free, on iTunes. As of the second season, the end credits song is no longer American Idiot, but a rap Andy created.The Songs
