The Breakdown Train

The Breakdown Train is the main rescue and emergency equipment in the children's television series Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. It consists of a Workers Unit Coach, a couple of flatbeds, and two large cranes. Whenever there's an accident the breakdown train is shunted there to help lift things from engines to trucks. Harvey the Crane Engine now pulls it around, helping anybody in a spot of bother.

The breakdown train was first seen in 'Thomas and the Breakdown Train', and has since then proved many times it is a valuable piece of equipment on the Island of Sodor.
