The CBS Enforcer Music Collection

The CBS Enforcer Music Collection is a television news music package distributed by Gari Communications.
The package, originally known as CBS Enforcer, was commissioned by Chicago's WBBM-TV in 1994. The package is based on the station's 1975 news theme, which in turn was based on a song called "I Love Chicago, Chicago My Home". WBBM has dropped the package twice (once in 1997 and once in 2001), only to reintroduce it a few years after each attempt.
Gari Communications soon renamed the package Enforcer (and later, The Enforcer) in an attempt to market it to non-CBS stations. A few non-CBS stations did start using the package, such as KRIV/Fox 26 in Houston, KVII ABC 7 in Amarillo and WVIT/NBC 30 in Connecticut.
In 2005, Gari Communications acquired the rights to several music suites by composer John Hegner, including News in Focus, a news theme package by which also featured the "I Love Chicago" signature. Since then, News in Focus has been marketed jointly with The Enforcer as the CBS Enforcer Music Collection.
