The Catamaran Company or Catamarans.com is the world's largest dealer of multihulled catamaran vessels. Catamaran Co. partnered with leading French shipbuilder Groupe Bénéteau SA to sell through its website. It has two offices in Fort Lauderdale, one in Annapolis, Md., and one in Tortola. History
Since 1980, The Catamaran Company has been serving the boating community in East Coat of US and the Caribbean. Catamaran Co. started out as Catamaran Charters and Sails and was geared toward charter trips in the Caribbean. In the mid-1990s, South Florida automobile magnate Ron Esserman, who founded the company, renamed it Catamaran Co. He brought Murray aboard as president in 1996, and the two soon realized the real money to be made was in new boat sales. [link]Initially, the company sold mostly Privilège brand catamarans from Groupe Alliaura Marine, a shipbuilder based in Les Sables d’Olonne, France, that manufacturers semi-custom catamarans. Satellite Offices
