Scene 1: Neutronic Wavefront
Captain Archer and Trip are in the shuttle bay, preparing to embark on a survey mission of an uninhabited planet. The Enterprise is hailed by an alien vessel, who warns them that a Neutronic Wavefront is approaching. The crew of the vessel ask to take shelter aboard the Enterprise. The crew say that to avoid the storm, the Enterprise should go to Warp 7 as soom as they are aboard. Archer comments that the Enterprise's maximum speed is Warp 5. Cut to opening sequence.
Scene 2: Refuge
The senior staff are gathered around a table, discussing options. There are 4 hours before the wavefront will hit. Malcolm comments that with some shoring up, the Enterprise should be able to weather the storm. Phylox states that the crew will need shelter in order to survive. Although sickbay is heavily shielded, it is not large enough to shelter the entire crew. Trip recommends shutting down the main reactor and using the crawlspace in one of the nacelles. Archer decides to use Trip's suggestion. Cut to ship's exterior. The blue glow of the warp nacelles flicker and die. Cut to the catwalk in the warp nacelle. Trip and Travis walk the length, discussing the oncoming storm. They plan to set up latrines and a makeshift bridge as Travis recalls a similar wavefront event that he and his family survived while on their freighter. Cut to decontamination chamber. The three crewmembers from the alien vessel are inside, bathed in the blue light. One is sniffing goo. Archer enters and invites them into the ship proper. The aliens claim to be stellar cartographers. They say they are pleased to help update the Enterprise's starcharts. Cut to a bustling corridor. Crewmembers are rushing around, carrying things. Supplies are geing stowed in the catwalk. Cut to sickbay. Phylox is stacking up cages full of his creatures. T'Pol comes in and complains that he is behind schedule. Phylox says that he was not allotted enough room to store all of them in the nacelle, and convinces T'Pol to increase his space allottment.
Scene 3: Turbulence
A bunch of crew are in the catwalk area, hanging blankets to divide the space. Trip comes in, leading the three aliens, who are grateful for the hospitality. Trip leaves them alone, and one alien questions the other's wisdom in claiming that they are stellar cartographers. Cut to Archer, in his quarters. He's packing a bag, looks out the window, and sees a pretty purple Neutronic Wavefront. T'Pol comes in. They discuss the coming storm. Archer catches T'Pol in a little fib. Cut to the bridge. Archer hands off control to Trip and Travis in the fake bridge. They shut down power and exit the bridge. Cut to ship exterior. The wavefront is almost upon them. Cut to fake bridge. Archer is there with senior staff. Trip states that all hands are accounted for and gives Archer the tour. Archer gets on the intercom and gives a little pep talk. T'Pol counts down. Things get shaky. The ship enters the storm. After much turbulence, things eventually calm down.
Scene 4: Close Quarters
Inside the catwalk, the crew are getting tossed around a little. Archer wanders around talking to the crew. Hoshi is fine. Trip is playing cards. The aliens are behind some blankets. They seem antisocial. Phylox is hanging out with his creatures. Malcolm comes in complaining of motion sickness. Phylox gives him a hypospray. Archer wanders up and asks what's going on. Phlox says everything is fine. Archer wanders back up to the bridge. Travis has things handled. Archer settles down and starts watching water polo on a padd. It bothers T'Pol "only slightly." Archer tries to go to sleep, only to be bothered by T'Pol's beeping handheld device. She puts it away and settles down as well. Archer and T'Pol talk about camping, then fraternizing.
Scene 5: 22 Minutes
Trip, Toshi, Malcolm, and Travis are playing cards and bitching. Suddenly, they smell something burning. They fling aside the blankets hiding the aliens, only to find they are cooking on some kind of hotplate. The aliens apoligize. Archer calls Trip up to the fake bridge. The plasma injectors have come on line in engineering. Trip complains about the aliens for a while. Archer settles him down. Bad things are happening in engineering. Trip has to go fix it. He suits up. He's only safe for 22 minutes. He crawls down the ladder and heads off through the ship. He walks quickly through various corridors to engineering. Strange equipment is laying around. Things have been disturbed. Funny Noises. People are walking around. Trip hides. Guys with flashlights show up and start messing with the ship's systems. Trip sounds an alarm. The strangers wander off long enough for Trip to leave. As he walks though the corridors he has to avoid three more strangers. He finds a window and looks out at an alien ship docked to the Enterprise. He brings up a camera feed of the bridge. Strangers are working there too.
Scene 6: The Takret Militia
A stranger is in the ready room, listening to Archer's logs. Another stranger comes in. They think the crew has abandoned ship. They discuss "the fugitives" for a moment. Probably the three aliens? They are trying to get the warp engines back online. Cut to the catwalk. Phylox is examining the aliens. They look uncomfortable. Phylox says they are immune to the radiation caused by the storm. Archer questions them about the other aliens. One alien spills his guts. Says the strangers are the Takret Militia and that the three aliens are hiding from them. The fugitives are deserters. They claim that the Militia is brutal and will kill them. They claim that the Militia will attempt to steal the ship. Cut to the Militia. They are succeeding in starting up the engines. They can't get navigational control yet. Cut to the catwalk where things start flashing. There's only 20 minutes before the engines start. This will fry the crew inside. Cut to some time later. T'Pol, Malcolm and Archer are suiting up. Trip gives them instructions. Cut to Strangers on the bridge. One says they should just take what they can and leave. The boss wants helm control.
Scene 7: We've Altered Course
Archer & Co. wander around fiddling with things. Trip gives them more instructions. They are shutting off the antimatter stream. Cut to bridge. A light is flashing. They are being hailed from inside the vessel. It's Archer. He says the rest of the crew is dead. The Boss says the vessel is impounded. Archer says he's gonna blow the ship up. Boss doesn't believe him. Archer says "oh yeah?" and cuts it off. Boss traces him to the fifth deck. Archer tells Trip to change course toward an eddy, then is ambushed by Militia guys. Gun battle. Boss sees that course is altered. T'Pol is having trouble shutting down engines. Archer shoots at people more. Militia doesn't have enough time to get helm control before ship goes into eddy. Engines get shut down. 4 minutes to eddy.
Scene 8: That's Everyone
The gun battle gets put on hold while things bang around. Militia get sent back to docking hatch. The Militia ship flies away. Archer tells fake bridge that Militia is gone. They fly away from the eddy. Things stop shaking. Cut to some time later. The crew is watching a western. T'Pol is with them. She explains the plot to the poor humans. Archer comes on the intercom. They're almost out of the storm. Cut to corridors. The crew is exiting the nacelle. The aliens are going to leave the ship. They're very sorry for everything. Archer and T'Pol are the last out. Roll credits.
