This article is about the opera. The Cave is also a 2005 film, a novel by José Saramago and a student pub at Carleton College.
The Cave is a multimedia opera in three acts by Steve Reich to an English libretto by his wife Beryl Korot. It was first performed in 1994 by the Steve Reich Ensemble and conducted by Paul Hillier.

Plot

Steve Reich and Beryl Korot ask questions like "Who is Sarah?" and "Who is Ismael?" from Isreali, Palestinian and American interviewees.
