The Exchange (Canada)
Encyclopedia : T : TH : THE : The Exchange (Canada)
The Exchange is an interbank network connecting ATMs in Canada. As of early 2006, it includes 249 members, mostly small and medium-sized credit unions, but also certain major banks, such as HSBC Bank Canada, National Bank of Canada and Canadian Western Bank. Its network includes over 2,000 ATMs in 10 provinces. Cardholders from member financial institutions may use them without paying usage fees, and are therefore often a costless alternative to using an Interac-only ATM or a white label ATM.
