The Jamie Foxx Show was an American television sitcom-comedy that aired on the WB Network from August 28, 1996 to January 14, 2001. The series starred comedian Jamie Foxx, Garrett Morris, Ellia English, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, and Christopher B. Duncan. The show is airing in syndication on BET and local stations in some markets.
Phynosis
Jamie King is an aspiring actor from Terrell, Texas who has came to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. He then puts his career on hold to work in his family's hotel The King's Tower, which is owned by his Uncle Junior King and his Aunt Helen King. He had two co-workers the sexy smooth talking Fancy and the bushe Braxton.Cast

Trivia
- On the episode Traffic School Daze, Fancy says to Jamie that "I wonder who watches the hotel when we're not here." Jamie also said that "No one, this is a TV show."
- Jamie also said that he wish he had his own television show. Jamie started to have a crush on Fancy. Sometimes Braxton says he even had a crush on Fancy.
Awards
- Jamie Foxx won the NAACP Image Award for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series" in 1998, and was nominated again each of the next three years. The show was nominated for "Outstanding Comedy Series" in 1999 and 2001.
DVD Releases
- Only the first season of The Jamie Foxx Show has been released on DVD, released in February 2005. It is highly unlikely that more season DVDs will be released due to poor DVD sales for the first season.[link]
