The Marine Society & Sea Cadets
Encyclopedia : T : TH : THE : The Marine Society & Sea Cadets
The Marine Society & Sea Cadets resulted from the merging of The Navy League (the charity that supported the Royal Navy, and the oldest such organisation worldwide) and The Marine Society. The Marine Society & Sea Cadets administers the Sea Cadet Corps in the United Kingdom, and owns the training ship TS Royalist, a tall ship, which teaches Sea Cadets teamwork, cameraderie, and seamanship.
It's headquarters are in Lambeth, in London, in a unique dark red brick building visible from the eastern side of the rail service to and from Waterloo Station, but almost hidden from the street behind its narrow, comparatively insignificant yet still imposing, arched brick entrance.
