The New Music is a weekly music and culture television newsmagazine that airs on the Canadian television stations MuchMusic and Citytv. Created by John Martin as a bridge between the spirits of Rolling Stone and New Musical Express and the formatics of a television newsmagazine, The NewMusic presents current popular music in a broad social, political and economic context. It won an Iris Award in 1984.
