The News (Adelaide)

The News was a former afternoon daily newspaper in the city of Adelaide, South Australia.
This was Rupert Murdoch's first media interest and commenced the foundation of what was to become the international media conglomerate, News Corporation.
Later Murdoch acquired the city's other local newspaper, The Advertiser. The News was closed in 1992 and many of its journalists moved to The Advertiser.
