The Next One, is a nickname that has belonged to the following ice hockey players:
The name is a play on Wayne Gretzky's nickname, The Great One, because each of the players called, The Next One, was billed as the next Wayne Gretzky.
Although not directly referred to as The Next One, Paul Kariya was also expected to have similar success to Gretzky.
