The Secret World of Alex Mack

The Secret World of Alex Mack was an American television series that ran on Nickelodeon from October 8, 1994 to January 15, 1998, replacing Clarissa Explains It All on the Snick line-up.
The show focuses on a teenage girl, Alexandra "Alex" Mack, who becomes accidentally contaminated with an experimental substance, from a nearby chemical plant, called GC-161. The chemical gives her the ability to "zap" people and objects with an electrical charge, move objects by telekinesis, and change her shape into a silvery liquid. Throughout the series, the owners of "The Plant", Danielle and Vince, continuously search for the local kid who was contaminated in order to conduct experiments, although their attempts are futile. Alex's best friend, Ray, and eventually her sister, Annie, help her conceal the accident and her powers from parents George and Barbara.
Interestingly this is one of the few Nick shows to have a decisive conclusion, during which Alex's identity is revealed not only to her enemies, but to her parents as well, prompting her father to give her a cure to her powers. The last scene of the series is her holding the vial that contains the cure after her sister walks off after indicating she and everyone else believed Alex had already taken it.
Some controversy surrounded the depiction of Alex reconstituting naked after turning herself into liquid for the first time in the pilot episode.
The pilot and two other episodes featured appearances by successful American actress Jessica Alba.
