The Squaw Man
Encyclopedia : T : TH : THE : The Squaw Man
The Squaw Man (1914), also known as The White Man in the UK, was the first feature-length movie made specifically in Hollywood (although not the first to be made in the Los Angeles area). The title went on to become the only movie successfully filmed three times by the same producer-director, in this case, the legendary Cecil B. DeMille in his first assignment; he directed a new silent version in 1918, followed by a talkie remake in 1931.
