The Wedge (TV show)
Encyclopedia : T : TH : THE : The Wedge (TV show)
The Wedge is a new Australian sketch show by Ian McFadyen and produced by Network Ten. The show originally launched on the 30th of May 2006. The show stars Adam Zwar, well known for his HBA 'fwee for fwee' commercial, and Rebel Wilson, famous for playing 'Toula' on the comedy show Pizza, and Jason Gann, two time winner of best actor at Tropfest.
In December 2005, television commercials promoting the program began showing, depicting a stereotypical Australian country town. It is a sketch based format comparable to Fast Forward or The Comedy Company. The only real difference is the fact the following sketch always refers to something from the previous scene. (For example: A scene with Gandalf cooking changes into a scene with someone watching his show on TV while sitting at a bar).
Characters
- Keith and Tina own a business called Keith and Tina's home direct. They sell a variety of products, however they are all bad quality and probably dont do what they are supposed to! For Example, the Demon Sucker 2000 was simply just an overpriced vaccuum cleaner wrapped in tin foil!
