Thierry Gueorgiou

Thierry Gueorgiou (born March 30, 1979) is a French orienteer who won the World Orienteering Championships (WOC) middle distance event for 3 years in a row (2003-2005).

He lives in St. Etienne, France, where he studies Biology. Gueorgiou runs for the French club NO St-Etienne and the Finnish club Kalevan Rasti. He has won the Jukola Relay twice (2004 & 2005) with Kalevan Rasti

Gueorgiou is considered to be the most technically skillful orienteer in the world today; running flawless races in incredible times at the biggest competitions. He has run in the last 7 world championships. He made his French senior international debut at WOC 1997 in Grimstad, Norway, at the age of 18.
