Thomas Finneran was a Democratic politician from Massachusetts and the former Massachusetts Speaker of the House. He is a pro-life activist. He resigned from the Massachusetts House of Representatives and assumed a position as lobbyist for a biotechnology council that endorsed and helped obtain approval for a change in the laws allowing for embryonic stem cell research.

Perjury Controversy

It was rumored that Finneran faced a federal perjury probe over a redistricting plan that reduced minority voting power. [link] Finneran has not been charged.
