Tim Renton, Baron Renton of Mount Harry

Ronald Timothy Renton, Baron Renton of Mount Harry, PC (b. 28 May 1932), is a British politician. He rarely uses his first name and was more frequently known as Timothy Renton before he was elevated to the peerage.
Timothy Renton was former Conservative Member of Parliament for Mid-Sussex. In 1997 he was created a life peer and took his seat in the House of Lords.
Lord Renton now lives in Offham near Lewes in East Sussex and has a holiday home on the Hebridean island of Tiree. Mount Harry was the site of the Battle of Lewes in 1264.
In 1960 he married Alice Blanche Helen Fergusson. Their five children are Alexander James Torre Renton, Christian Louise Renton, Daniel Charles Antony Renton, (Katherine) Chelsea Renton and Penelope Sally Rosita Renton. Alexander Renton is a journalist for The Guardian.
