Tjandamurra O'Shane

Tjandamurra O'Shane is an Australian Aborigine child, a victim of a racial attack on October 10, 1996 at the age of six. O'Shane was burned on 70 percent of his body while playing at a school in Cairns, Queensland.
O'Shane, a nephew of New South Wales magistrate Pat O'Shane, was critically injured by the gasoline attack, and he had to spend a long period recuperating at a Brisbane hospital. The attack received publicity around the world and was one of a number of attacks that brought awareness about racism against Aboriginal people in Australia.
Paul Wade Streeton was arrested and later convicted for the attack.
