Tony Sefton (also known as Tony "$uper$tar" Sefton) is an English professional wrestler, who works on the independent promotions circuit throughout the UK. Tony started professional wrestling in 2000 at FWA London Wrestling Academy at just 13 years old. The FWA London Wrestling Academy closed down in 2002 so Tony carried on training at Dropkixx Wrestling Academy were he met his mentor and good friend, former Light-Weight Champion Tony Scarlo. Scarlo taught Sefton an impressive technical and aerobatic wrestling style, which proved very popular to the fans when Tony made his debut later in 2002 for Dropkixx Wrestling Promotions. He has since appeared for many British promotions, such as ASW, EWF, PWP, GPW, Future Shock, OPWO, FWA, EWW, LDN - to name a few.
Tony became a fan favourite at his home town appearing regularly for IPW:UK. Unfortunately in September 2005, Sefton was involved in an accident at the Tables Ladders & Chairs match (Match Of The Year 2005) where he fell from a 16 foot ladder and sustained injuries which has proved to have put his future career in question. Tony “$uper$tar” Sefton went on to appear at his last match to-date on the 13th November 2005 against Ashley Reed at IPW:UK Brawl At The Hall - against all doctor and IPW:UK management advice. After the match Tony’s injuries worsened leaving him in constant agony. Giving in to a strong sense of pride and an addiction to pleasing fans, Sefton took his increasingly worring doctors advice and stopped wrestling. Rumours run confident of a $uper$tar come back in the future, however no official word has been heard from Tony since the accident in September 2005.
