Toradex Corporation is a Swiss IT company. It was founded in 2003 as a privately held shareholder company and is headquarted in Luzern, Switzerland. The company sells its products and services exclusively over the Internet. In June 2006 Toradex had 10 employees with an installed customer base of 350 companies in 50 countries.
Toradex is specialized in low power high performance embedded computer solutions based on Intel XScale (Bulverde PXA270, Monahans PXA290) and Pentium M processors. The company offers single board computer products and related engineering services in the field of Windows CE, embedded Linux, high speed electronics layout, packaging and miniaturization.
Toradex products are used in applications, such as automotive, medical devices, aiding devices for disabled people, laboratory equipment, point of sales, gaming devices, navigation systems, music instruments, machine control, simulators, environmental monitoring, advertisement, traffic management systems, building technology, video surveillance, robots, and auto pilots.
Numerous universities all over the world, such as University of California, Berkeley, Boston University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Australian National University, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich use Toradex computer modules in their education and research activities.
Toradex is member of Intel Communications Alliance, OSEC Business Network Switzerland, Microsoft Windows Embedded Partner, Swiss Technology Network and is a distributor of American Megatrends Incorporated BIOS in Switzerland.
