Tosev 3 is the name given to the planet Earth by The Race, native to Home (aka Tau Ceti 2), in Harry Turtledove's Worldwar and Colonization series of novels. To the Race, Tosev 3 is a miserably cold world, they are most comfortable in its desert climes. Humanity is formally known as Tosevites, and "Big Uglies" informally.
