Tosontsengel is a city in Hövsgöl aymag, Mongolia. On December 19, 2001, a new world-record high barometric pressure of 1085.6 hPa (32.06 inHg) was set there, supassing the old record of 1083.98 hPa (32.01 inHg), set on December 31, 1968 in Agata, Siberia. At the time, the temperature was -40 °C (-40 °F), and 51.2 mm (2 in) of snow covered the ground.
